Most people come to journaling because they want to stop feeling bad. They want to "fix" their anxiety, "delete" their stress, or "silence" their inner critic. In Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we do things a little differently.
Instead of fighting a war against your thoughts; a war that is exhausting and often impossible to win. We practice dropping the rope. We learn to notice our thoughts without being controlled by them, and we make room for our feelings so they don’t have to scream so loud to be heard.
This journal will not create a "perfect" mind. And that’s ok. The goal of this journal is to create a meaningful life.
